I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours).
I am passionate about all things creative - writing and playing music, painting and drawing, sewing and designing. I like to use different forms of art to express myself and seek new skills through them.
I grew up on a small farm, and from that my love for the environment has grown and flourished. Connecting with nature has been one of my favorite ways to help with my own lived experience with mental health issues.
My goal in life is to support people in living their best, unique life, as a healthy and happy life looks different for all of us. I believe in using a possibility approach, that validates experiences and ideas, encourages new perspectives, and seeks to access a person’s unique strengths and resources.

I am approaching the completion of my Masters in Social Work, following a sixteen-year career as a primary school teacher with specialisation in early childhood education, program coordination and supporting students with additional needs, as well as experience living and working in remote and regional Indigenous Australian communities.
I have lived experience as a carer for a family member with an ABI and mental health condition, lived experience of grief and bereavement and subsequent lived experience of mental illness myself.
My working relationships with children and young people have also involved working with the larger family unit, community elders, volunteers, assistants and community and specialist personnel.
I take an ecological and systems approach to my work with participants, acknowledging the greater contexts impacting the person at the centre of the story, while at the same time taking a strengths-based approach.
I am a mother to two tween and teen girls, love the beach (but not big waves), walking in the national park and doing yoga. My secret hobby is writing and my not-so-secret challenge is my very naughty Groodle named Arthur. My father is from India and so it makes sense that my favourite food is curry. My family and I love travelling internationally, exploring and interacting with other cultures.

I am a wife and mother to 3 children, living in a country town, namely Kilcoy.
I love staying fit and weight training at the gym, I enjoy being in the outdoors, fishing, camping and walking in nature. I am compassionate and outgoing.
I love to encourage and motivate people to try new things, no matter what walk of life you come from, I am here to listen to you and help you voice your concerns. I want you to be able to live a fulfilled life on your terms, allowing freedom of choice, with support and guidance.
I experience working with clients who have myotonic dystrophy, OCD, anxiety, and Schizophrenia. I have experience as a live in support worker, supporting day to day needs, community access, hygiene, and wheelchair transfers. I worked in the aged care sector for 5 years as a group fitness instructor and physio assistant, working with clients who have dementia or physical disabilities. I provided one-on-one emotional support and assisted with improving their quality of life through mobility.
I believe emotional support and meeting our spiritual needs is equally as important as physical support. It’s all about a healthy balance supporting the fundamentals of wellness. With that aside, I’m sure who ever I work with, we will have a laugh! After all, laughter is the best medicine.

I am passionate about creating mental health awareness in everyday life and in my career in the events industry. I have experience working in childcare and supporting individuals of all ages with their mental health.
Creative outlets have always provided a therapeutic experience throughout my own mental health journey. My goal is to create safe and inclusive environments where all people can flourish and express themselves while enjoying the beautiful things in life like music, art, culture and nature.
